Ms. Henkin has been part of the Gross Schechter Day School family since August  2017. She is our Middle School Language Arts teacher and our 8th grade GLA Advisor. She also coaches Power of the Pen, and serves as the 8th grade advisor.  Ms. Henkin received a BA in Communications with a double minor in Public Relations and Creative Writing from Kent State University, and a Masters in Education with a focus on Adolescent/Young Adult Integrated Language Arts from Ursuline College. Ms. Henkin began her career as an account manager for Fortune 500 companies, but decided to go back to school to focus on her love of English and kids. She spent most summers growing up at Jewish summer camps, and loves teaching at Schechter because it combines my passions for Judaism and Education.

Fun Fact:  Ms. Henkin is the youngest of 6 kids.
