Elana Perlin joined the Schechter family in the summer of 2021. She is originally from Toronto, Ontario. Elana has a BA from McGill University and a Masters in teaching Judaic Studies from Hebrew College along with a certificate from the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem. She came to Cleveland to be a Tanach teacher at Mandel JDS with her husband and now has three children – Shira, Avi and Josh. Elana believes that success comes through hard work, constant self reflection and evaluation, and by listening well to the needs of the teachers, parents, and students of the community. When she’s not working, Elana can be found dancing with her children in the den, or on a walk around the neighborhood.
