At Gross Schechter, one of our core values is Btzelem Elokim (all are made in G-d’s image), where we value the uniqueness of each individual and instill the concept of Shmirat Ha’guf (caring for your body), where health and wellness is a priority. To that end, our students receive physical education multiple times per week. For our middle school students, we offer two different after-school team sports that practice and compete in a league with other area independent schools including: Co-Ed Varsity and JV Basketball, and Co-Ed Soccer.
Our Middle School students elect student government representatives who meet weekly under the advisory of Julia Meyer Middle School Social Studies Teacher and Sixth Grade Advisor. Student government is responsible for programming, leadership and student advisory.
